Pointless

I don’t believe in the 100 point scale. It is reductionist and fallacious (the scores published in most guides range between 90 and 100, therefore it is a 10-point scale). I don’t believe in perfection either. It is boring and suspicious. Many wines with 89 points are more attractive and interesting, like a beautiful face with a disruptive mole. This scoring system also exposes the objectivity and impartiality of critics. I’d rather deliver tin medals, claim the tasting note, tell the story behind each wine, bring this fascinating world to today’s and tomorrow’s consumer.
