Succession (Jesse Armstrong)

by | 12 Jan, 2022

An intoxicating series about a powerful, relentless and miserable family, that talks and plays dirty. A poetic, choral and postmodern tragedy that tests our capacity for wonder about the hackneyed triad between money, corruption and rot.

The patriarch Logan Roy, the communications mogul, always seems to have an ace up his sleeve to humiliate and lay waste to enemies and collaborators -there is not distinction-, including his pusillanimous heirs.

I can’t pause watching it, but like foul-mouthed Logan, always with a bottle of Scotch next to the remote control.
